US$499 Renaissance Basic Package
This package applies to one single-author work comprised of the lesser of (A) 50,000 words or fewer, or (B) 200 pages or fewer:
The Renaissance Basic Package includes the following items:
1. Interior layout of the final manuscript in black-and-white. Does not include color illustrations, appendices, indices, or footnotes.
2. An International Standard Book Number (ISBN) and barcode for paperback. An ISBN is normally required if you want to sell your book in bookstores or place it in libraries. The ISBN allows customers to locate your book through any retailer and on Internet search-engines. The barcode is the graphic that encodes the ISBN for scanning purposes.
3. Distribution set-up of the finished printed book, which includes coordinating the book's availability on this site, at one URL of your choice, and at major online retailers, as well as to "brick-and-mortar" retailers. Please note that availability does not guarantee that your book will purchased on this site or elsewhere, nor that it will be ordered or stocked by any "brick-and-mortar" retailer.
4. Upload of your already-converted epub file and JPG cover file for e-book availability (including iBooks, Kobo, Kindle, and Nook.) You must provide and register your own ISBN for the e-book, or you may purchase one at an additional cost. (See below.)
5. One galley (proof) of paperback for review and approval.
6. One paperback copy of the finished book.
Also available at an additional cost:
~ An additional ISBN for the e-book (US$100) and registration with Bowkers.
~ Proofreading of the final manuscript (US$200). This is NOT the same thing as editing.*
Other specifications:
Cover designs must meet publisher's specifications.
Corrections to digital files after proof has been approved for print publication, or corrections required to resubmit e-pub files will be subject to a $50 revision fee, per corrected file.
Author will retain whatever copyright he or she has to his or her work.
Author will retain 50% of net profits, if any, on the LLC's receipts from sales, if any, of the author's book. Net profits are defined by New Renaissance Ink, LLC in its written "Exhibit NP," which is available upon request.
Completed manuscript, with cover page, must be submitted for consideration. An accurate total word-count must be indicated on the cover page, subject to verification.
*Professional editing is strongly encouraged prior to submission. Poorly-edited manuscripts will be rejected. No editing services will be offered.
