Partial Audio Books (PABs) Project (Currently in development)
The Partial Audio Book (PAB) contains only the prologue and selected chapters of a completed novel, and includes music (complete original songs or covers) to further engage the listener and reader. It is a promotional tool used to gauge and increase interest in a piece of work, encouraging the audience to want to read the entire work. Its intent is to increase readership and potential sales. It's my own innovation, and I hope it takes off.
The purpose of the LWC Initiative, an annually sponsored program initiated in 2011, is to not only support non-profits for our youths, schools, communities, and families, including TeachingforChange.org (Washington, DC), but also to seek and pool talented writers. By beginning with a strong, well-received product whose proceeds are donated to charity, we expect to build credibility and visibility for us and our writers, and pave the way for successful future projects.
The 2015 Let's Write for a Change (LWC) Initiative will be dedicated to furthering the mentoring process, while helping young writers learn more about how to write, market, and sell books, and while helping them to learn about the business side of writing and publishing.
The Write on Time Project will offer the young contributors a small advance upon commitment to the project, as well as royalties from the sale of the book. Forty percent of the proceeds will be donated to charity (TBD), 40% will be divided equally between contributors in royalties, and 20% will be funneled back into business costs.

The Up from Here Project, the first product of the Let's Write for a Change (LWC) Initiative, is an effort to create a solid body of work from a variety of writers, poets and other artists into one compilation that will be published and sold for charity (100%). The selected charity for this project is Teaching for Change (www.teachingforchange.org), although other charities may be considered. The maximum number of pages for this book will be 150. All selected contributors will receive by-line credit in the finished work. No monetary payment will be made to any individual contributors. This is a great opportunity for writers and artists at all levels of their careers to contribute to a worthy project, and especially for lesser known and unknown artists to gain exposure through publication.
Stephen D. Davis Mentorship Award and Scholarship (Currently in development)
Stephen D. (Steve) Davis, an incomparable educator, gifted coach, and dedicated mentor, was an integral part of the lives of countless youths throughout the Rome, Georgia area and beyond for over 3 decades. It was because of Coach Davis' answering to the calling to become a teacher that many students received not only quality educations, but also developed, nurtured, and honed invaluable skills as athletes, all while learning the meaning of sportmanship. Coach Davis saw past our circumstances and cared us through to our potential. His influence reaches far past his years at Anna K. Davie Elementary School through Rome High School, and this award and scholarship will be an annual testament to our appreciation for him having been a part of our lives.
BOOBIES Breast Cancer Awareness Calendar (Currently in development)
The Baring Our Own Bosoms in Empowerment Series (Boobies) started out as an inside commentary among a small circle of friends, who posted modest (and not-so-modest) photos of their bosoms as profile photos on social networking sites during the month of October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. After the second or third year of positive responses from hundreds of viewers at a time, we were encouraged to take an additional step to raise money and awareness...publish and sell a calendar with a little twist. This calendar would start in October, with 12 months of tastefully photographed models, personal stories, and messages to increase awareness and education.
